The move means that everything we do, from sales and freight movement to warehousing and parcel logistics is consolidated in one digital platform, bringing increased efficiency and cohesion to our business processes.
We have also released an update regarding our development to shipments and orders for the Horizon Community.
Now we’re pleased to announce that Horizon is being launched to our customers in a bid to bring end-to-end digitisation, visibility and integration to supply chain management.
Built through Salesforce by our software development partner Neurored, Horizon can be tailored to different business objectives and offers a multitude of digital tools. Rather than an ‘out-of-the-box’ solution, the platform provides complete visibility over the supply chain, and enables customers to request quotes, book shipments and manage freight movements online. Through Control Tower, Horizon’s satellite tracking system, customers can see exactly where their shipments are on each journey. In addition, the platform’s cloud-based advanced analytics and real-time reporting inform cost-saving decisions and drive business strategy.
Phase two of its development, due later in 2020, will see the use of artificial intelligence to predict changing weather conditions and alert us and our customers.
