Your new role:

Your role as Import Operator, will be working in the freight department, organising customer shipments from origins throughout the world. The job will entail dealing with all aspects of the service – bills of lading, dealing with ocean lines and customers, organising collection/delivery of goods and invoicing.


  • Receiving and processing Bookings
  • Logging Import shipments
  • Updating Event Codes
  • Updating transit reports
  • Passing Vendor Invoices
  • Customer Billing
  • Organising deliveries
  • Customer queries
  • General queries and day to day tasks associated with Imports


  • Effective Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
  • Ability to motivate and work in a fast moving, pressurized environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Windows and outlook
  • Good administration and organisational skills to manage workload and paperwork in an effective and controlled manner at all times.
