DG International is proud to announce the company has achieved Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status. The certification is an internationally recognised mark of quality which certifies the organisation as a ‘trusted trader’ for authorisation types AEOC – Customs Simplification and AEOS – Security & Safety formalities, in the movement of goods.

The AEO standard was created by the European Union in 2011 to reinforce the importance of customs and security standards within the industry while encouraging best practices in the international logistics chain. Achieving the certification confirms the organisation’s customs controls and procedures are efficient and fully compliant within the international supply chain.

Issued by national customs authorities the AEO certification is recognised across all 27 European Union member states and is increasingly being demanded by clients, particularly in the US and China. AEO status boosts the profile of the organisation’s customs compliance within and prepares DG International for the more liberalised trading environment, post-Brexit.
